ULTRA-DYNE PRO DSP9024
4.5 The structure of the ULTRA-DYNE PRO
Fig. 4.4: Block diagram of the BEHRINGER ULTRA-DYNE PRO
The analog input signals first pass through the electronic balancing amplifier and are then fed to the A/D
converters. The input signals are converted there to a digital multiplex signal and sent to the DSPs for
processing. The digital input signal is passed from the transformer balanced input section directly to the
DSPs (only possible with the AES/EBU option installed). Switching between the analog and digital input
sources is done in the GLOBAL SETUP menu. Signal processing is performed by the two DSPs. Next, the
signal is sent to the D/A converters where it is converted back to two analog signals (left and right). Finally, they
are sent to the electronically balanced outputs. If the AES/EBU option is installed, the digital signal from the
DSPs is also sent to the digital output. The digital output is transformer balanced, providing a transmission in the
digital domain free of induced hum and noise.
